“The moment is that ambiguity in which time and eternity touch each other.”

“Moments” formed the conclusion of the trilogy “A City dance”. A contemporary dance piece that not only took Halle’s urban society along as spectators, but emerged from their midst. A city dances!

People between the ages of 15 and 90, young and old, newcomers to Halle and old-timers from Halle, worked together with the choreographers Be and Mevlana van Vark create a contemporary dance piece. The joint creative development and rehearsal process lasted six months.

The third part of the trilogy was dedicated to the phenomenon of time – more precisely: the moment, encounter, memory and transition. What does the moment hold for us? And: Are we at all prepared to experience the moment – to give it space? Can the concept of time be dissolved for the moment?

“Dance exists only in the moment. It does not exist before or after. It is unimportant where you come from. It’s what you share in the moment of time, that counts.”
Be and Mevlana van Vark
